Work With Z Dog
We are looking for dog and cat lovers to be a part of our Z Dog Daycare team. The job entails playing and caring for dogs, taking them on walks, and cleaning. You will work with experienced pet care professionals who will teach you how to manage a group of dogs running and playing off-leash, so you must be good at taking instructions. This job is for fun-loving, relaxed yet alert dog lovers who enjoy outdoor fun with pups.
This is an all-season job. You will be out in all weather conditions - rain, snow, cold winds, hot summer days. We care for people's precious pets. We work holidays and many weekends when our pet care is needed.
This is a fun and rewarding job for a responsible, strong individual who likes the outdoors, LOVES dogs, and enjoys a group environment.
Positions at Z Dog Daycare

Supervise, control, and manage the daycare pack to ensure the safety of the playgroup.

Maintain the cleanliness of the facility.

A passion for dogs is a must.

Prior experience in animal care (professionally and/or personally) and customer service is preferred, but not required.

Training will be provided on how to understand dog body language, recognize appropriate play, and disrupt inappropriate behaviors.

Must have access to a smartphone & the internet.

Weekday availability with flexibility and the ability to commit to a year or more on our team.

Must pass criminal background and reference checks, live locally, & have reliable transportation.

Dog walker and cat caregiver must respect the confidentiality inherent in working inside clients’ personal homes and follow pet care instructions to the letter.

Walkers must also be comfortable referring to existing client care notes and filling in for Pet Care Team members who are unable to service a primary client.

A window of time will be given to dog walkers marking arrival times for dog walking visits. This is typically a 2-hour window during mid-day or evening hours. Dog walking & Cat care visits are normally 30 minutes in length.

Daily care hours are primarily 10 AM to 4 PM Monday-Friday with the opportunity for additional hours during evenings and on weekends.

Time will be spent walking/exercising dogs, and ensuring potty breaks are occurring. Basic walk requests such as refreshing water, wiping paws, and giving treats are also included.

All dogs must be kept on a leash while on walks.

Even when it is raining or snowing dogs need to go out. Walkers must have rain/snow gear and feel comfortable driving/walking in the rain/snow.

Occasionally clients are home sick or working from home. Walkers must be comfortable running into clients.

Walkers must be comfortable checking in and working with our office staff and Online Management Software. This helps us ensure everything has been completed to client specifications.

Walkers will also be required to leave detailed visit notes.

Walkers must take responsibility for not losing keys or locking them out.

Walkers must respect client confidentiality. Friends and/or children should not be present on visits.
